Friden, Inc. (now Neopost) opened the Tulsa
Dealership in 1945. As the office equipment
industry grew and specialized, Neopost
became an international mailing and
shipping systems leader. Jerry Spicer and
Andy Smith joined the company in 1966 and
1971 respectively. After serving in various
sales and management positions, Mr. Spicer
and Mr. Smith bought the dealership in 1975
and incorporated as Oklahoma Mailing
Equipment, Inc. (OME Corporation).
Each have more than 30 years mailing
experience, including hands-on
experience in mailing equipment, mail
room design and mail processing. As the
old adage goes "they both started in the
mail room".
The broad customer base of mailers
enjoyed by Oklahoma Mailing Equipment,
Inc. has been established through their
dedication to customer satisfaction and
product quality. Their longstanding
success can be attributed to the goals
set for Oklahoma Mailing Equipment, Inc.
by Mr. Spicer and Mr. Smith: "Oklahoma
Mailing Equipment's goal is to
contribute to the success of our
customers, by designing, delivering and
servicing high quality mailing systems
to meet their specific mailing
requirements."
Today, Oklahoma Mailing Equipment is a
leading dealership in distribution and
customer satisfaction in the United
States. The longevity of employees
speaks volumes for the status of
Oklahoma Mailing Equipment. Over half of
the employees have over 12 years with
the company. Each employee receives
continuous training in order to provide
the customer with the latest in
equipment, software and service
techniques.
